The Soul of Bombay
Two Cultures. One Wok. Infinite Flavour. A tribute to the heritage kitchens where the silk road met the spice route.
Some cities you visit. Bombay, you taste
its food and its culture, its many varied people, its rich history and its endless eccentricities.

ABOVE: The legendary cafes where cultures mingled over strong
tea and spicy snacks.
So many different voices from so many different places telling so many different stories joined together to become Bombay. It is a city of massive and juxtaposed extremes hemmed in tightdee by the ocean on three sides.
And yet, past the crowds and between the layers of accumulated difference, there is magic. Hidden gems, lovely histories, the most delicious comfort food and countless stories to be told. The story of Indo-Chinese cuisine begins here, where immigrant woks met local chilies.

Bombay Dragon Comfort Food
Eat your way through the city’s alleyways
At Bombay Dragon, you’ll find the food of all Bombay’s hidden corners.
…its side streets, bustling markets, and late-night stalls. This food evokes fond memories: the simple pleasure of slurping fiery Hakka noodles, the crunch of perfectly fried Manchurian, or the fragrant warmth of Szechuan fried rice shared with friends. We serve true Indo-Chinese comfort food inspired by its most treasured corners.
Begin the evening with small plates, which might be a Classic Fried Rice or Veg Manchurian. Then, dive luxuriously into the main event with deep, smoky, melt-in-mouth gravies, robust and spicy.

The Craft
Eat your way through the city’s alleyways
Our philosophy is rooted in the high-heat alchemy of the wok—a vessel that demands respect and precision. We utilize the ‘Wok Hei’ technique, or the ‘breath of the wok’, to impart a complex, smoky char that defines authentic Indo-Chinese cuisine.
Every ingredient is sourced with uncompromising standards, from heritage-breed meats to hand-ground spices from Bombay’s oldest markets. It is a marriage of Chinese technique and Indian soul
